Did you spot something new in your inbox this month?
That’s right! Our very first Regulation Flash made its debut, bringing you the exciting updates on Spain’s offshore wind regulatory landscape.
In late September, the Spanish government approved a Royal Decree that officially regulates offshore wind development, effective as of 24 Sept 2024. This marks a major milestone, introducing a competitive tender model designed specifically for offshore wind projects and overseen by the central government.
The new framework adopts a “three-in-one” approach, awarding key elements in a single tender:
This isn’t just a game-changer for Spain; it’s a pivotal moment for the global energy landscape. The energy transition is no longer just a vision—it’s becoming a reality. Together, we’re shaping a sustainable future, one project at a time!
Developed by the Operational Infrastructure & Performance team in the O&M department, the Power Plant Performance Management System (P3MS) was created to structure and standardise large amounts of raw operational data from our diverse wind farm assets.
P3MS collects, standardises, and stores data from multiple sources and formats, making it available for detailed analysis such as losses allocation, expected power, and availability calculations. Additionally, P3MS supports comprehensive reporting, providing operational reports for our O&M teams and real-time displays for all OW employees.
With the launch of the new P3MS Portal, we can all now easily access this information directly from our computers, enabling quick and efficient access to real-time data on our operational assets.
Earlier this year, in June, we launched the P3MS mobile app, offering access to this data on the go. Now, the P3MS Portal complements this tool by providing full access from any desktop device!
What functions does P3MS perform?
Visit the P3MS SharePoint for additional resources and guidance!
Congrats to the team for developing this great tool! Watch the video to learn all about the new Portal!
All aboard! Take a look at the highlights from our exciting press visit to the iconic WindFloat Atlantic project with Spanish reporters. Braving the wild seas, our team showcased the innovation and potential of offshore wind energy.
